Filing of all information in the form of electronic documents and the fast (and above all successful) retrieval associated with it are important requirements for effective information management. Nowadays however, in order to work efficiently, IT solutions must be deployed which are capable of more than this.
Information, and consequently documents or forms, are created, edited, approved and revised by different members of staff and represented in different presentational forms in the process. To support this process a document management system (DMS) is required, which controls staff members' exchange of and access to a wide range of documents and information, so that one can always trace who, what and when changes were made to the documents.
With the document management system integrated in OS.5|ECM we provide management for all types of information with all the comfort of features such as versioning, full text search, follow up, subscription, electronic signatures as well as versatile import and export possibilities. The form and content of documents and other data are combined into intelligent objects, which contain all the information necessary for meaningful operation.
The integrated permissions system specifies which members of staff have access to the information and in what context. Data and documents can be arbitrarily filtered, newly compiled and exchanged with other information systems.
